Marche pour la Vie Bruxelles 2026
- Date: Sunday, April 19th, 2 PM
- Location: Poelaert Square, Brussels
In 2026, Belgium is once again discussing issues that affect the lives of women and children. Government parties want to constitutionalize abortion, extend the time limit, and regulate surrogacy. These debates are shifting attention away from where it should be: instead of asking how to really help, we are arguing over texts, symbols, and thresholds.
Why we march:
- To tell every woman: you are not alone. A difficult pregnancy deserves, first and foremost, a helping hand: listening, support, material assistance, psychological support.
- Because the Constitution is not meant to transform a human and painful subject into an “untouchable” right: it must protect the most vulnerable and maintain a common framework, rather than stifling debate.
- Because over the years, an idea has taken hold: to be “pro-woman,” all you have to do is make abortion even easier, instead of working on real solutions. We are finally calling for concrete progress so that abortion is never the only option available.
- To defend both women and children: a just society does not choose one over the other.
- Because, with surrogacy, whether “altruistic” or not, a separation is organized from the outset: pregnancy becomes a service, and the child is the subject of a contract. The desire to have a child is legitimate; contractualizing the child and organizing abandonment is never.
Join us.
So that women don't have to think they have no other choice. So that abandoning children is not regulated and trivialized, but prohibited.
